Eugenijus LAURINAITIS (Lithuania)
Since 1977 Assoc. Prof. Eugenijus Laurinaitis, M.D., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor, Dept. of Psychiatry, Vilnius University and a Professor at Institute of Psychology, Mykolas Romeris University, Vilnius (teaching Clinical Psychology, Psychological Counselling, Psychiatry and Psychopathology.
He regularly runs training groups for different professionals (MD’s, psychologists, psychotherapists) in different countries (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic). He took part in numerous international congresses and conferences, and is a Member of International Advisory Boards of 16th International Congress of Psychotherapy (Seoul, Korea, 1995), 1st World Congress of Psychotherapy (Vienna, Austria, 1996), 17th International Congress of Psychotherapy (Warsaw, 1998), World Congress of Psychotherapy (Durban, 2014, RSA), and many more.
He is a President of Lithuanian Psychotherapeutic Society (since 1991), Deputy General Secretary of EAP (since 2015), and member of the examination committee of Institute of Group Analysis “Rasztow”, Warsaw, Poland (since 2012).
Since 1992 he is a teacher and coordinator of Training Course in Psychodynamic Individual Psychotherapy in Vilnius, Lithuania, since 1995 — teacher and coordinator of Training Course in Group Analysis, Vilnius, Lithuania.
Dr. Eugenius also served as a teacher and coordinator of Training Course in Psychoanalytically Oriented Individual Psychotherapy in Liepaja, Latvia (1994 — 1999), a teacher and coordinator of training course in Group Analysis, Tallinn, Estonia (1998 — 2006), and an Adviser for Psychotherapy of the Ministry of Health of Republic of Lithuania (1990 — 2004).
Eugenius Laurinaitis is a Member of the Board, European Association of Psychotherapy; and has been a Chairman of the Membership Committee of the Board of the EAP (2001 — 2013), and a President of European Association of Psychotherapy (2013 — 2015).
He has been chairing the Organizing Committee of the Congress of EAP “New Boundaries of Europe — New Boundaries of Psychotherapy” in Vilnius (July 7-10, 2005) and the Congress of EAP “Where Art and Science Meets. What Practice and Research Can Learn from Each Other” in Vilnius (October 15 — 186 2014).
Member of the editorial boards of: International Journal of Psychotherapy (EAP); Archives of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (Poland); Medicine (Lithuania), Pain medicine (Lithania).
Author of several books and handbooks (e.g., Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, 2004; 2013); more than 50 articles.
