Peter SCHULTHESS (Switzerland)
Peter Schulthess, MSc, is a gestalt psychotherapist practicing in Zurich. He teaches gestalt therapy Switzerland an in several other countries. Peter has been working as a Gestalt therapist since 1996 in private practice. He is a past president of the European Association for Gestalt Therapy, past president of the Swiss Charter for Psychotherapy and Coordinator of the Study “PAP-S” (Practice-Study-Ambulant Psychotherapy — Switzerland). He is a member of the European Association of Psychotherapy (EAP), the International Federation for Psychotherapy (IFP), and the World Council for Psychotherapy (WCP). He is the actual chair of the Science and Research Committee of EAP.
Zurich University study in pedagogic, psychology and philosophy with a Lic.phil.I.;
Trained as a psychotherapist at the Fritz Perls Institute (FPI) in Gestalt psychotherapy, continuing education amongst others with J. Zinker. E. and M. Polster and L. Perls;
Advanced education in systemic couple and family therapy as well as Gestalt couple therapy;
Working with numerous institutions in the areas of social work and addiction therapy as an external resource (therapist or supervisor);
1990-2016 as an educational trainer at the Institute for Integrative Gestalt therapy in Würzburg (IGW);
2004-2013 President of the Swiss Charta for Psychotherapy;
2013 onwards Member of the Comitee of the Association of Swiss Psychotherapists (ASP).
2008-2012 President of the EAGT (European Association for Gestalt therapy);
2012-2016 Education leader at the Institute for Integrative Gestalt Therapy Würzburg, Switzerland (IGW).
