Nevena CALOVSKA (Serbia)
Nevena Calovska Hertzog is an M.D, Ph.D, psychiatrist. She is a Professor at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Media and Communication in Belgrade, Serbia.
Her education: higher medical education, School of Medicine, University of Belgrade (1970-1976); specialization in Neurology and Psychiatry, School of Medicine, University of Belgrade (1977-1980); Doctoral studies and dissertation, School of Medicine, University of Belgrade (1989); Diploma in Systemic Family Therapy (1990).
Nevena Calovska’s work experience includes Psychiatric Clinic and Institute for Psychiatry, School of Medicine, Belgrade (1977-1995), where she worked with acute psychiatric ward, outpatient clinics, inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy, conducted research and development; Institute for Mental Health, Belgrade (1995-2005), where she headed the Department for Marriage and Family and initiated training in Systemic Family Therapy. Since 2005, Nevena does directing and training in Association of Systemic Therapists, AST (EAPTI), founded by her, and a full member of Training Institutes Chamber of the European Family Therapy Association. Since 2008, she is a Professor in the Department of Psychology, Faculty for Media and Communication, Belgrade, teaching under-grad and post-grad courses; she also has private practice in psychotherapy, training, consultation to teams and organizations since 1990.
Nevena Calovska has published more than 60 published articles and chapters in books.
She is a member of European Family Therapy Association, EFTA (Secretary General, member of the Board of Training Institutes’ Chamber, TIC); European Association for Psychotherapy, EAP (External Relations Officer, expert and permanent member of the Training Accrediting Committee, TAC); Serbian Union of Associations of Psychotherapists.
