The emergency situation of the last months has transformed the common flow of our life and set up a lot of new challenges, as well as the new opportunities.

Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we were not able to meet this year at the IX World Congress for Psychotherapy in St.Petersburg, Moscow and Baikal, but we will surely meet up at the Congress in 2021!

Meanwhile we would like to invite you to take part in the

1. THE ONLINE BALINT GROUP: the specifics, limitations, new opportunities

The time limit for presentations: 7-10 minutes.

The following presentations will take place at the first panel session:

  • The specifics and difficulties of holding online Balint groups”

Nikolai Eshtokin — Group Analyst and Accredited Balint Leader, Russian Balint Society (Russia, Rostov-na-Donu)

  • The opportunities and perspectives of online work. Comparative analysis of working with the offline/online group and online group”. After a short presentation, two participants from both groups will share their impressions of working in BG online.

Elena Ivanova — Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Accredited Balint Leader, Russian Balint Society (Russia,Moscow)

  • Warming up groups to use the Balint Method”. In this very brief presentation the author will share how she use some creative exercises to get group members more in touch with their & their patient’s unconscious material.

Amelia Lyons — Group Analyst and Accredited Balint Leader (United Kingdom, Newport)

  • General discussion

  • Balint supervision in the helping professions: reasonability and necessity (international experience)”

Rules of carrying out zoom-conferences:

1. Room can accommodate up to 300 participants. A technical specialist is present at the conference.

2. To make a brief report you need to register. The number of speakers is limited.

3. Each participant has the option to turn on a microphone and camera.

During the speaker's speech or discussion of reports, the rest of the participants

must turn off their microphones and cameras.

For example, if a participant does not turn off the microphone and interferes with this performance, the

technician forcibly turns off the microphone of this participant.

4. After the presentations, there will be time for questions. To participate

in a discussion or ask a question, you need to set the «Raise your hand» status. The technician will turn

on your microphone and give you the opportunity to speak or ask a question. Participants who have not

set the «Raise your hand» status are not invited to participate in the discussion.

The «Raise your hand» status is located in the «Participants» section, under the list of all conference

participants.

5. Please do not be late for the start of the conference, connect a little earlier.
